Why Beaches Turks and Caicos is Perfect for Teens

*I visited Beaches Turks and Caicos as part of the #BeachesMoms conference. As always opinions are 100% my own.

1. Beaches Turks & Caicos is a teen friendly resort – Location, Rooms, and Safety

Beaches Turks and Caicos is one of the most comfortable destinations we’ve ever visited as a family. The property is divided into four main areas: Key West Village, Italian Village, Caribbean & Seaside Village, and French Village.

Key West is the quietest and closest to the beach. Italian Village and Caribbean Village are next to the beach, but tend to be a bit more crowded during the day. French Village is closest to the water park, about a five minute walk to the beach, and the location of the nightly entertainment at Beaches.

The basic rooms at Beaches in the French Village come in two layouts: two full beds with a small couch, or a king size bed with a trundle bed.

Teens will be perfectly comfortable with either configuration. Families looking for more space will want to look at the two or three bedroom suites, family suites, or villas available in other villages.

The French Village pool is surrounded by a café, restaurant, and is close to the nightly entertainment stage.

Safety is always a priority when traveling with teens, and we felt completely safe on the Beaches property. There is friendly staff everywhere and the grounds are well lit. Teens will feel very comfortable hanging out with others and navigating the property on their own.

2. There’s an awesome teen club

Beaches Turks and Caicos offers many opportunities for meeting  other teens, but the best spot is the teen club. At Trench Town, teens can play ping pong, pool, air hockey, or arcade basketball with others.

The resort also organizes daily teen activities from snorkeling to beach volleyball to shuffleboard.  At night, teens can hang out at Club Liquid, a dance club all their own.

3. Plenty of opportunities for relaxation

All teens need a break from reality, and Beaches Turks and Caicos delivers. There are seven swimming pools and multiple hot tubs throughout the resort, with lounge chairs readily available. Maybe your teen prefers lying in one of the hammocks and reading a book or taking a nap.

Shaded beach chairs offer stunning views of Grace Bay, one of the best beaches in Turks and Caicos. If teens need a break from the Caribbean sun they can head inside to the XBOX Play Lounge with over 25 Xboxes and the latest video games.

If your teens want a day at the spa, the Red Lane Spa offers special treatments for teens they can enjoy. There is an additional fee, but I haven’t met a teen yet who wouldn’t love some extra pampering.

4. All-inclusive activities are extensive

Beaches Turks and Caicos has many on-site activities, including croquet, tennis, and beach trampolines. There are also plenty of things to do in Turks and Caicos outside of the resort.

If your teen wants to be adventurous, they can rent snorkeling gear, kayaks, or paddle boards from the beach shack and head out in the water. If the family wants to take a tour on a glass bottom boat, that’s included as well, just be sure to sign up the day before to ensure a spot.

The diving program at Beaches Turks and Caicos is another option. If you’re already certified they offer unlimited scuba diving adventures. PADI certification is available on-site and kids as young as eight can take part in Beaches Scuba Diving programs for an additional fee.

5. Food at Beaches Turks and Caicos

Beaches Turks and Caicos has twenty-one specialty restaurants, but most teens will be thrilled with the food trucks and Bobby Dee’s, a 1950s diner adjacent to the waterpark serving pizza, burgers, and milkshakes.

Teens with more adventurous palates might enjoy the teppanyaki and entertainment at Kimono’s (reservation required) or the sushi at Soy. Other favorite restaurants include: Neptune’s for a beachfront breakfast, Arizonas for the taco bar, and The Cricketer’s Pub for some fish and chips with karaoke.

6. Beaches water park

Teens of all ages will enjoy Pirates Island Waterpark at Beaches Turks and Caicos. The water park covers 45,000 square feet and includes a lazy river, SurfStream surf simulator, swim up bar for kids/teens only, a waterfall pool, and at least eight waterslides (that I counted). It’s a great hang out spot for them, with easy access to the teen club, Bobby Dee’s restaurant, and XBOX Play Lounge. What more could they want?

7. Off property excursions available at Beaches

If all of these activities aren’t enough to keep your teen’s interest, consider using the on-site tour provider to help you find things to do in Turks and Caicos. Island Routes organizes a variety of family friendly tours, from ATV All Island adventures to a teens and tweens catamaran cruise. Our family really enjoys experiencing the local culture, so I highly recommend getting off property and exploring.

Beaches Turks and Caicos might be one of the best all inclusives for teens. It has everything they would want in a vacation, and everything parents want as well. I’m not one who usually visits the same place twice, but I would certainly make an exception for Beaches.
